Weaving fiction into history

I have just had a great deal of fun expanding upon my short story, Yes Houston There Is A Santa Claus, to create a novella-length story. And lucky for you, dear reader, this will soon be available free on my website. Stay tuned for that.

The story is my attempt to pry apart some imaginary thinking space inside the very well documented voyage of Apollo 8 at Christmas in 1968 when three astronauts became the first men to enter into orbit around the Moon. They were also the first to experience having their world disappear completely as their spacecraft passed over to the lunar far side, which is forever invisible to Earth. As the history of ufology and the more modern UFO disclosure movement is a subject of great fascination to me, I have sought to ponder what might have been if astronauts Bill Anders, Jim Lovell and Frank Borman saw something unexplainable hiding on the other side of the Moon after the world vanished from view.
